Nowadays many people want to work from home. Why? Because if you work from your house you have more spear time, you don’t pay the commute, and this job can be a second one or a part time job. On the web you can find many jobs through online sites. When you apply to a certain job, especially work based jobs, you need to pay attention because some of them might be scams. The purpose of this job scams is to steal your money or/and personal information.
When you are searching for a good home job that pays good, you need to take a look at 10 points in order to avoid scam or fraud:
1. Check the title and description of the job. If the title is different from the job description you must be carefully.
2. Check the company website. Check the age of the website. who owns the website and where is hosted. If that job is a scam you will find some irregularities. Browse through the site to see if it has missing pages or missing links; a legit company will have a good site structure. Go to page Contact us to see if the phone number and e-mail contact listed there are the same like that in the job ad.
3. Check the e-mail and phone number. If the job hasn’t a phone number attached for you to call the company or the person who posted the add is most sure a scam. Also search through online searching engines the e-mail and phone to see if are real or fake. Also try to speak on the phone with the person that wants to hire you. You’ll be able to decide if is a legit job or a scam.
4. Check the company background. Search after the name of the company and you will see if that company is legit or a scam.
5. Avoid jobs like “1k per day”, “200.000k per year” without any kind of work needed. If is to good to be true then perhaps it is. Don’t try to find any kind of job without work needed and which promises a very very good salary because you’ll find only scams or fraudulent jobs.
6. Avoid jobs posted by persons in another country or which involve transfers of money because this type of job, in must of the cases, covers another fraud. Not only you will be broke after this job, but you will also be investigated for fraud.
7. If you receive a job offer via e-mail check if the e-mail is legit. Check the ip of the sender of the e-mail. If it is different from the company’s IPs then you have discovered a job scam. In these cases the best thing to do is to report it and go to another job search.
8. Check the work contract. In there you may find some errors like: your name misspelled, some work conditions that haven’t been presented to you or some clauses which are hidden.
9. Don’t pay any taxes or commission upfront.
10. Keep your computer up to date. This mean that you must have a good antivirus, a phishing filter and an antispyware program because when you’ll search you will browse many sites and who knows, maybe some of it are infected or full with keyloggers.

Be safe.

Check fraud or cashier’s check fraud is a very profitable source of money for hackers. Let me to present this method to you. First, the hackers send thousands of e-mails with a job offer at their fake company. The e-mail shows like a legitimate job offer (which isn’t ) to a out-US company (like Spain, UK, Italy ) and it appears to be send by some of the biggest sites of jobs in US (which is also false). If you fall for this you will reply to them. After that, they will send you a contract where it is explained with good and chosen words what you need to do for the company. Your job will be to receive and cash out some checks from the company and retain a fee (which is your salary) and send the rest of the money to them through services like WesternUnion or MoneyGram. After you will sign the contract you will receive the first check in 5-7 days at your home. You will cash it and you will send the rest of the money to them. You’ll be happy because you have earned some bucks without no work, but you are wrong because in a few days the check will bounce and you must pay the debt to the bank. This kind of fraud is real and you must try to avoid it.

The check fraud can be also related with a car sale. You will try to sell your car on the biggest websites from the web. The hackers will email you and they’ll make you a offer that you can’t refuse (yeah right). If your car is $2.000 they will offer you a check of $6-7.000 to ship the car (they also will pay the shipping) and the rest of money also must be sent to them. You can’t believe such an offer, but you are going on. You will receive the check, cash it, send the rest of the money to them, and also prepare the shipping of the car. In a few days you will realize that the check bounced because was a fake check and you must pay.

Another tips to avoid such tip of fraud are: inspect the cashier’s check very good (if you have another one put them together and look for differences; you will see it fast), ensure that the amount of the check matches in figures and words, contact the financial institution on which the check was drawn to ensure legitimacy, obtain the bank’s telephone number from a reliable source, not from the check itself, be cautious when dealing with individuals outside of your own country.

If you will follow these advices you might have a chance to escape from the check fraud. Otherwise you must pay all the debt and in generally is quite big. Be safe.
