Yesterday, after a post on craigslist I have received 2 job offers from two fake companies. As you must know, this method of stealing your money involves check fraud. Here are the two examples of the scams. What you must learn from this examples is the fact that the scams are all the same but with different texts.

The check fraud can be also related with a car sale. You will try to sell your car on the biggest websites from the web. The hackers will email you and they’ll make you a offer that you can’t refuse (yeah right). If your car is $2.000 they will offer you a check of $6-7.000 to ship the car (they also will pay the shipping) and the rest of money also must be sent to them. You can’t believe such an offer, but you are going on. You will receive the check, cash it, send the rest of the money to them, and also prepare the shipping of the car. In a few days you will realize that the check bounced because was a fake check and you must pay.

Another tips to avoid such tip of fraud are: inspect the cashier’s check very good  (if you have another one put them together and look for differences; you will see it fast), ensure that the amount of the check matches in figures and words, contact the financial institution on which the check was drawn to ensure legitimacy, obtain the bank’s telephone number from a reliable source, not from the check itself, be cautious when dealing with individuals outside of your own country.

If you will follow these advices you might have a chance to escape from the check fraud. Otherwise you must pay all the debt and in generally is quite big. Be safe.
