22 hackers arrested for fraud in romania
Yesterday, 22 hackers accused for fraud after they have cracked NASA servers and cloned sites of banks in Europe to steal customers accounts, were detained in Romania, after a massive operation of the romanian police in collaboration with the FBI.
Nearly a hundred police officers from special troops entered in suspects houses in some major cities in the country: Timisoara, Lugoj, Caransebes, Hunedoara and Pitesti. Investigators say that internet pirates have put their hands on about 350,000 euros.
The operation started at the same time: 6:00 AM (local time) in all cities so that suspects do not announce to each other. Investigators confiscated computers, CD-s, laptops and electronic devices that the hackers used to break even secure servers of NASA. FBI has been involved in the case also.
