Craigslist fraud – is bigger every day
As you know, Craigslist.org is the biggest classifieds site from US. Posting ads on craiglist is free, and for this reason, more and more fraudsters are attracted here. They post daily thousands of fake and fraudulent ads in every domain and because craiglist is one of the bussiest sites in US, they manage to enrich through frauds.
The biggest craigslist fraud is in the For Sale Section / Cars and Trucks. Here, from all the ads I can say that 50%-70% percent are fake. Soon I will release a guide how to spot those scams because I tried to fight back to them posting their emails here, but the emails are changed every time so is very hard to help people.
Another sections used by fraudsters are the Rental Section, Jobs Section, Resumes Section. With some automated software they can post daily many ads. Most of them are flagged by users, but some of it will remain alive. Another tool used by them is another automated program that crawls craiglist and gets the emails. With such a big list for email is really easy for fraudsters to steal your information or your money. With mass-mailing they can spoof any sender and send fake emails.
So the best fraud prevention method is research. You must check every aspect of the problem and for sure you’ll not be a victim.

I am tracking a Offer on my InFocus Projector to a person wanting to ship it to Nigeria and says he sent money to my PayPal account and it will be released once I send tracking number for shipment.
Another one is the exact car scam with cheap new car cratted with person tranferred jobs to opverseas but has vehicle cratted for shipment anywhere. She says she previously worked for Mazda and got this car very cheap but doesn’t want to ship it to Europe so just email my information and she has a agent with ebay that is holding the transfer waiting my payment.
Yes, right away, I new it was a scam….
QUESTION:
HOW do we stop these people?
Are there a list of egencies even the FBI that could track offers like this once I person pursuing my funds or wanting something I am buying in these such ways? Can any of these services actually do online tracking to locate criminal scammer?

2005 Ford Mustang-The email is gamleil@rgkcontactmilus.com. My daughter was just scammed out of 3,900.00. She thought she was buying a car from a person in the military being sent overseas. Pictures were exchanged. They even went as far as sending the correct VIN number for the car they had posted so that a “car fax” could be run. Please be wary of this.
I’m gathering these email addresses too at my website. Not only car fraud, but real estate, money order, etc.

I’m soo glad that I found your website. My fiance and I were looking on craigslist and found a 03 blk avalanche for $4050. I thought that maybe it was a typo, and emailed the seller. The seller contacted me by email saying that she got the truck in a divorce settlement and only wanted $4000 with shipping included. Well I asked for the vin and ran a carfax. Then she tells me that she wants the transaction to go through Yahoo Finace Vehicle Purchase Protection. Well it semmed fishy to me and I started to investigating Yahoo Finance. Couldn’t find anything!! Well then I typed it in to the search and found your website. My fiance gets home and we decided to have us a little fun. I told her that my fiance had to go to a meeting in Montana and that we would like to pick up the vehicle this weekedend. After two hours of talking to her she had already had the vehicle at the shipping yard and it was sealed. She said that she was always working and that the only way we could purchase the vehicle was through Yahoo Finace. Please be careful when looking for a vehicle on craigslist, I got lucky on my first vehicle from that website. It actually turned out to be legit. The scammers email is alicegreen33@aol.com!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!! Thanks soo much for posting this website, because we were ALMOST scammed!!!
