Fraud scam – New tactics used to scam people on used car auctions
In my earlier posts I showed people how they can discover fraudulent ads and auctions on used cars. The only problem is that some fraudsters have found the blog and they changed the method.
The big change that they made is the fact that the email isn’t anymore displayed in the add, so that it makes difficult for me to post it here and alert people about this ordinary scams.

Thank goodness I found this article. I found an ad on craigslist for a 2006 Denali for $4900. The guy’s email address is dylanmiller52@gmail.com. The old saying is right….if it’s too good to be true then it probably is. We asked for his phone number several times so we could discuss and he never sent us his number only long emails explaining how the transaction works and is safe for both of us. What can I do to get this guy caught???

I was close, gave address and was waiting for “EBay” instructions. The key to most of this is the method of payment – check this stuff carefully.

They use the same tactics over and over (ebay & military).
I’m so glad I listened to my instinct, and did my research.I will email craigslist as well. Hope other people do the same.

This is a classic fake check scam.
The check is fake and after 1-2 weeks will bounce.

I just received an email from MSgt. Kieran Flynn about a Nissan Pathfinder for $4900. It was listed on Craigslist so I thought it couldn’t hurt to check it out. The sad think is that this guy actually exists and someone is smearing his name in the mud while he is serving our country! What’s wrong with these people?!?! OF COURSE HE GAVE THE SAME SOB STORY SAYING A CLOSE FAMILY MEMBER WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AND HE REALLY NEEDED THE MONEY THATS WHY HE WAS SELLING IT AT THAT PRICE. This is the second guy that happens to be in the UK that I have run in too. Just my luck to get a bunch of scammers in 1 month. How stupid do they think we are when they are sending out the same e-mails to everyone.

(also note it is R maria like the post above) The vehicle is in perfect working condition, it doesn’t have any dents, chips or scratches and the interior is like new, it is a non smoker vehicle. All the maintenance has been done on a regular basis. It’s accident-free and has a clean and clear title. The total price that I ‘m asking for the vehicle including shipping to your door is $15,300.00. I am selling it because I’ve moved back to Spain after my divorce and importing it here is not an option because of the high taxes involved. The vehicle is currently in NH in custody of a shipping company, ready to be delivered to its new owner.
